Borough of Palisades Park Municipal Court

The Borough’s municipal court is located in the Palisade Park Municipal Building. The Honorable Joseph Rotolo presides over the Palisades Park Borough Municipal Court. Court Administrator Kathy Scala supervises the court’s day-to-day business and operation. Like most municipal courts in the county, this court handles local traffic offenses, ordinance violations and quasi-criminal charges, such as the following.

  • DWI/DUI
  • Marijuana Possession
  • Simple Assault
  • Shoplifting
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Drug Paraphernalia
  • Moving Violations

The court handles approximately 20 disorderly persons complaints and about 100 traffic tickets and DWI cases each month. For more serious offenses, you may have to initially appear in this local court, but your case will then be moved to the Bergen County Superior Court.
